






SMM12, 19 March: Nalco Aluminum Corporation (Nalco) plans to invest 45 million rupees in the next few years for the expansion of palm land and green space projects, said Tapan Kumar Chand, chairman and managing director of Nalco Aluminum Corporation (Nalco). Nalco will invest about 250 million rupees in the brown land expansion project, including an additional 1 million tons of alumina smelter capacity, an increase of 500000 tons in Angul smelter capacity, and an increase in its own plant through the addition of two 660MW power plants. The second phase of the new expansion will take up 20000 rupees in another smelter and its own power plant. These projects are likely to be completed between 2019 and 2021. These expansions are expected to increase its aluminium production from the current 440000 tons to 1 million tons and help it achieve revenue registration of 18 million rupees.
